About the Founders

Momo Amore was founded by Dipanwita Chakraborty and Debashish Majumdar, both professionals turned entrepreneurs. Dipanwita has 12 years of IT sector experience while Debashish was a banker. They gained knowledge from the market and incorporated their love of food into their entrepreneurial vision. Today, their passion for quality has made Momo Amore a well-known name in the world of frozen momos and an attractive franchise opportunity for entrepreneurs.
Debasish Majumder is a driven and dedicated entrepreneur who, along with Dipanwita Chakraborty, is determined to make Momo Amore a thriving business. Although his first attempt at entrepreneurship with an ice cream shop did not go as planned, Debashish did not give up on his dream of being a successful entrepreneur. After leaving his job at Axis Bank, he started Momo Amore in 2018 with a modest investment of Rs 3.5 lakh and just three employees. Debashish’s hard work and perseverance have paid off, and Momo Amore has become a popular destination for lovers of Momos in India.
Dipanwita Chakraborty is a tenacious and passionate entrepreneur who refused to let anything stand in the way of her dreams. With 12 years of experience in the IT industry, Dipanwita had a stable and successful career in a great MNC. Despite her success, she always felt unfulfilled, yearning for something more – to become an entrepreneur and create something that was truly her own. It wasn’t until the Covid pandemic hit that she finally decided to take the leap and leave her high-paying job to pursue her passion.
The road to success was far from easy. Dipanwita faced numerous challenges along the way, including market issues and financial constraints. However, she never lost hope, and her unwavering determination helped her overcome every obstacle in her path. With a hands-on approach, she managed every aspect of her business, working tirelessly to turn her dream into a reality. Today, Dipanwita is a shining example of what can be achieved with hard work, perseverance, and a deep passion for one’s goals.

Our Success Story

Momo Amore faced several challenges in its early years and needed to gain momentum quickly. However, Debashish and Dipanwita’s hard work and determination paid off, and today, the business has grown rapidly with over 100 stores across India.   The founders strongly believe in providing high-quality and hygienic momos made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. They prioritize customer service and ensure every customer has an enjoyable experience when visiting a Momo Amore store.
Despite the setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Debashish and Dipanwita were able to adapt and continue their expansion plans. In just one year, Momo Amore has opened many new stores across India, and the business is back on track to continue growing.
